MyOnlineCoach
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 25 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the MyOnlineCoach website and coaching service (the “Service”), operated by My Online Coach (“we”, “us”, “our”, “MyOnlineCoach”). By creating an account, completing an assessment, or purchasing a package, you (“you”, “client”) agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
MyOnlineCoach provides online personal training and, where selected and eligible, general nutrition guidance, delivered through a human trainer assigned to your account. Structured training programmes and nutrition plans are drafted with the assistance of artificial intelligence, but every plan is reviewed, edited where necessary, and approved and published by our team before it is made available to you. AI-generated drafts are never shown to you directly and are never published without human review.
2. Eligibility and the coaching assessment
Before you can purchase an ongoing coaching package, you must purchase and complete the Online Assessment covering your training history, goals, and relevant health information. The configurable once-off price is shown before checkout and does not include an ongoing coaching subscription. You will not be charged for an ongoing coaching package until you explicitly choose one after eligibility is confirmed. If your assessment indicates that automatic coaching is not appropriate — for example, where a condition requires professional or medical review — the relevant service may be withheld or limited until that review has taken place. We reserve the right to decline to provide the Service, in whole or in part, on reasonable safety grounds.
3. Health and coaching disclaimer
MyOnlineCoach provides fitness coaching, not medical care. Nothing provided through the Service constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Your assigned trainer is not a medical practitioner unless separately and explicitly stated. You should consult a qualified medical professional before beginning any exercise programme, particularly if you have a pre-existing medical condition, injury, or are pregnant. You are responsible for stopping any activity that causes pain, dizziness, or discomfort and for seeking appropriate medical attention. Participation in any training programme is at your own risk.
Where our deterministic safety checks indicate that a medical clearance is required before training can proceed, we will not generate or publish a programme until that clearance is provided or the concern is otherwise resolved by our team.
4. Nutrition scope and disclaimer
Where your package includes nutrition support, guidance provided is general nutrition and lifestyle guidance only — meal structure, food options, hydration and shopping-list support intended to complement your training. It is not a clinical or medical nutrition therapy service and is not a substitute for advice from a registered dietitian or medical professional, particularly where you have a diagnosed medical condition, eating disorder, or complex dietary requirement. Where your assessment indicates that professional dietetic review is required before nutrition guidance can be generated automatically, that guidance will be withheld until the review has taken place. Recorded allergies and dietary restrictions are treated as absolute constraints; if you believe a plan you have received conflicts with information you provided, stop following it and contact us immediately at support@myonlinecoach.co.za.
5. Your trainer
You will be assigned a trainer based on your goals, preferences, and our trainers' availability and verified capability. We may reassign you to a different trainer where operationally necessary (for example, trainer unavailability, leave, or a change in your needs); your programme, nutrition plan, and coaching history are preserved across a reassignment. Your trainer supports your day-to-day coaching — reviewing your weekly check-ins, responding to your progress, and recommending programme changes — but does not have authority to approve or publish programme or nutrition content; that responsibility sits with our internal review team.
6. Packages, billing, and payment
Package pricing, terms (month-to-month or fixed-term), and billing models (recurring monthly or upfront) are presented to you before checkout and are processed by our payment provider. Prices in effect at the time of your purchase apply for the term you selected; a later change to our published pricing does not affect an existing subscription. Fixed-term packages carry a minimum term as disclosed at checkout.
7. Cancellation, pause, and refunds
Cancellation, pause, and refund requests are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Acceptable use
You agree to provide accurate information, to use the Service for your own personal coaching, and not to share your account access with others. We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are breached, where continued service would present a safety concern, or where required by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, MyOnlineCoach's liability for any loss arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant package in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active clients. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where applicable to your use of the Service as a consumer.
